Metamorphosis Workshop

As I mentioned in my last blog post I0 had just finished a fantastic weekend at the Salt Spring Island Film Festival culminating in a Workshop presented by Velcro and Nova Ripper in symbiosis with their recently presented documentary the Metamorphosis Workshop on March the 4th, 2019.

Metamorphosis --- (regarding an insect) the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages

----a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means.

The documentary was about Global Warming. It was not fear based, it presented the problem and solutions. It showcased humans going through a metamorphosis that allowed them to embrace the new world we will be living in and how to do so in a sustainable regenerating fashion, and the movie was creative, thoughtful, and beautiful.

The Workshop itself was enlightening and uplifting creating a self awareness and allowed me to remember what I am doing here, what my part in it is, and why it matters.

The workshop was about setting an action plan, finding where and how we could be a part of the solution. Oddly enough I already have one, so what it created for me was inspiration. This being said although I want to tell you more about my time at the workshop I think I need to get busy on my action plan.

I am only writing this as I said I would. It is Monday Morning, it is time for me to get busy on what I am doing, so this being said, below you will find a link to the website for this magnificent Journey.

This page is about solutions.  If I diverge from this path, please advise me.

 

Here I would like to honor past by rembering it.  Polotics, social development, life as we remember.

 

I also want to acknowledge the present and how extremely lucky, we as a species are to have this moment, just this one right now.

 

Then I want to take the thought and ideas that accumulate from running this process and share my conclusions with you.

 

It is important that I stay solution based, for I am one of those people that believe, in solutions.  In the greater opportunities and the chances we have been given, have and are going to be living in tomorrow.  Sometimes I wander but in the end I always come back to center, to genuine self.  That is where I believe the solution begins and ends, with us.

 

The solution begins within us, with in our own person, home, community. The solution begins with me.  Here is to us.
